Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of propulsion components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation including GD&T drawings and BOMs
- Collaborate with materials science team on composite and alloy selection
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Interface with suppliers for prototype fabrication and testing
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA V6
- Advanced FEA/CFD certification (ANSYS preferred)
- Experience with composite material design and testing
- GD&T certification per ASME Y14.5M
- Proven project leadership with 3+ full-cycle product launches
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
