Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for robotic assembly systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate performance under extreme conditions
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for production teams
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical systems with control systems
- Prototype, test, and iterate designs in rapid development cycles using in-house fabrication facilities
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks with CSWA/CSWP certification
- Proven experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and thermal analysis
- Strong understanding of GD&T, DFM, and DFMEA principles
- Experience with motion systems, pneumatics, and precision mechanisms
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Ability to lead projects from concept to production launch
