Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Perform advanced thermal/structural analysis for turbine components under extreme conditions
- Collaborate with aerospace engineers to optimize designs for weight, efficiency, and manufacturability
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation and support production validation processes
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with FAA/AS9100 standards and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and GD&T principles
- Strong background in materials science for high-temperature applications
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Experience with rapid prototyping and testing validation methodologies
- ASME/PE certification highly desirable
