Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production release using CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA)
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations for structural integrity and thermal optimization
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement DFM/DFA principles and reduce production costs
- Develop comprehensive test protocols and oversee validation of prototypes in controlled lab environments
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards
- Research and integrate novel materials and manufacturing techniques for performance enhancement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with aerospace or high-tech manufacturing
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation software (SolidWorks/CATIA, ANSYS)
- Deep understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and geometric dimensioning principles
- Proven track record of designing complex mechanical assemblies under regulatory constraints
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent international certification
