Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using CAD tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for high-volume production
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system design
- Create detailed technical documentation and BOMs for production
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) required
- Automotive or aerospace industry background preferred
- Proven project management skills with complex systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
