Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual design and detailed CAD modeling of turbine assemblies using SolidWorks
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop manufacturing specifications and coordinate with precision machining partners
- Design and execute experimental testing protocols for prototype validation
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical documentation
- Optimize designs for cost-effective production while meeting aerospace quality standards
- Interface with clients to translate technical requirements into engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation suite
- Deep understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and aerospace tolerancing
- Hands-on experience with experimental testing and instrumentation
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
