Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production validation
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis using ANSYS/Abaqus for structural and thermal optimization
- Develop detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings per ASME standards
- Collaborate with test engineers to validate designs through prototype builds
- Mentor junior engineers while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 processes
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques for performance enhancement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and/or CATIA V5
- Strong background in composite material applications and joining techniques
- Proven experience with tolerance analysis and GD&T implementation
- Certification in FEA (e.g., CSWP) or equivalent practical expertise
- Knowledge of DO-160 environmental testing standards
