Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and validate engineering solutions through prototyping, testing, and FEA analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) on integrated systems
- Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, drawings, and test procedures
- Drive DFM/DFA initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and cost efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (FEA/CFD)
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of managing product development from concept to production
- Experience with DO-160 aerospace environmental standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to complex challenges
