Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of critical aerospace components using CAD and simulation tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate engineering requirements into robust designs
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling to validate performance under extreme conditions
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation and support prototype testing
- Optimize designs for weight reduction, material efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-performance industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and material science
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
