Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Develop advanced CAD models and simulations using SolidWorks and ANSYS for structural analysis
- Optimize component designs for weight reduction, material efficiency, and thermal management
- Conduct rigorous FEA/CFD simulations to validate performance under extreme operational conditions
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement DFM principles and cost-effective solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record with FAA certification processes and AS9100 standards
- Deep understanding of composite materials, thermal dynamics, and vibration analysis
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
