Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Conduct thorough stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate product integrity and safety.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOMs) for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and project managers, to integrate mechanical systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex design challenges.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.
- Participate in prototyping and testing phases to ensure designs meet performance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or PTC Creo.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Experience with 3D printing, injection molding, or metal fabrication processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
