Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to optimize product performance
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software) to ensure system integration
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement design improvements for existing products
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain engineering documentation standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for consumer or industrial products
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of leading product development from prototype to production
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP is highly desirable
- Experience with sustainable design principles and renewable energy systems
