Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design lifecycle of complex robotic sub-systems from concept to production.
- Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks or Creo.
- Conduct rigorous FEA and thermal simulations to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and evaluate material selection for harsh industrial environments.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical design standards.
- Review vendor submissions and ensure all components meet strict quality and safety tolerances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in high-precision mechanical design.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Proven track record of designing for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material science, and mechanical stress analysis.
- Experience with robotic kinematics and motion control systems is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced development cycle.
