Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of complex assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform rigorous stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and thermal analysis to ensure product integrity and safety.
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs in compliance with ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Software, Manufacturing) to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and in-house testing.
- Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and drive design improvements based on test results.
- Manage project timelines and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Strong working knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and GD&T standards.
- Experience with rapid prototyping technologies and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
