Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and analysis of complex robotic assemblies.
- Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Perform comprehensive FEA and tolerance analysis to ensure structural integrity and functional reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics, sensors, and actuators into mechanical housings.
- Manage the prototyping phase, coordinating with machine shops and additive manufacturing partners.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, BOMs, and engineering change orders.
- Mentor junior engineering staff to foster a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product design, specifically in robotics or precision machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM/PLM systems.
- Strong grasp of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding, Additive).
- Proven track record of taking products from concept through to volume production.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical design reviews.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is considered a strong advantage.
