Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace turbine components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs with electrical and control systems
- Develop detailed technical documentation and manufacturing specifications
- Prototype testing and failure analysis in lab environments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques for weight reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and DFMEA
- Experience with additive manufacturing for metal components
- Proven track record of bringing complex projects from concept to production
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification processes a plus
