Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process, including conceptualization, detailed design, and documentation using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Perform complex stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product durability and safety.
- Develop and test prototypes, iterating rapidly based on feedback and performance data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, electrical, manufacturing) to integrate mechanical systems into larger assemblies.
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for production teams.
- Conduct material selection studies to optimize cost, weight, and performance.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo) with a strong command of drafting standards.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and simulation software.
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept to mass production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
