Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for product validation
- Develop detailed engineering documentation including BOMs and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with R&D teams on prototype testing and iterative improvements
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and industry safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Experience with sheet metal and plastic component design
- Proven project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
