Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and optimize product designs for manufacturability and performance
- Conduct FEA/thermal analysis to validate design integrity and reliability
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to create and test functional prototypes
- Document engineering specifications and prepare technical documentation packages
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive component design (powertrain/aero preferred)
- Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
