Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural validation and thermal analysis
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T tolerances
- Collaborate with procurement teams on vendor selection and component sourcing
- Conduct prototype testing and iterate designs based on performance data
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of aerospace/defense industry experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software
- Strong understanding of AS9100 quality standards and DO-160 certification
- Demonstrated experience with composite materials and lightweight design
- Proven project leadership in cross-functional environments
