Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
- Perform rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to ensure design integrity under various operational conditions.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to drive product development from concept to mass production.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including BOMs, design specifications, and assembly instructions.
- Conduct physical prototyping and testing, analyzing data to iterate and improve designs for manufacturability (DFM).
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to foster a culture of excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred) with a strong GPA.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive, aerospace, or heavy machinery sectors.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, drafting, and simulation tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or Abaqus).
- Deep understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
