Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to production using SolidWorks and NX
- Develop and optimize complex assemblies for aerospace propulsion systems
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
- Generate detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and NX with proven complex assembly modeling
- Strong background in FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL)
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, composites, sheet metal)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with DO-160/DO-178 aerospace standards
