Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle using SolidWorks and NX for critical aerospace components
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs while collaborating with production teams
- Prototype testing and failure analysis in our advanced materials lab
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and validation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/NX) and simulation software
- Deep understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects from concept to production
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and FAA certification requirements
- Experience with additive manufacturing and composite materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
