Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace components, from concept to validation
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA with tolerance analysis
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal performance validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on DFM/DFA for rapid prototyping and production
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into robust engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/CATIA with complex assembly management
- Strong background in FEA (ANSYS/Abaqus) and thermal analysis
- Proven track record in aerospace component design and certification (FAA/DO-178)
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with systematic troubleshooting approach
