In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design lifecycle of our flagship industrial automation systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of durability, efficiency, and manufacturability.

As a Senior Engineer, you won't just draw parts; you will define the roadmap for our next generation of automated solutions. We value deep technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and a passion for precision. If you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and want to see your designs power global industries, we want to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Mechanical Design & Development: Take ownership of the mechanical design process from concept through to production, utilizing CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Collaborate with the R&D team to fabricate prototypes, conduct stress tests, and iterate designs based on performance data.
  • Simulation & Analysis: Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate structural integrity and optimize component performance before physical production.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Review designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and assembly efficiency, providing critical feedback to the production team.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards (ASTM, ISO, ASME) and safety regulations.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and provide technical mentorship to foster a culture of excellence within the engineering department.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing or engineering consulting environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or PTC Creo.
  • Analysis Tools: Strong working knowledge of FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) and GD&T standards.
  • Material Science: Deep understanding of materials selection, including metals, composites, and polymers, and their properties under stress.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
