Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA simulations and thermal analysis for high-stress environments
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with materials engineering team on composite and alloy selection
- Conduct prototype testing and failure analysis in lab conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design best practices
- Interface with suppliers to optimize manufacturing processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and FEA software
- Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T standards
- Experience with composite materials and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and budget
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
