Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of aerospace mechanical components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for structural validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics and propulsion units
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and specifications for precision components
- Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design best practices within the department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation software
- Deep understanding of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and aerospace materials
- Proven track record of managing complex mechanical projects from concept to production
- Familiarity with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical skills with experience in DOE and statistical analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
