Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of robotic sub-assemblies and complex machine components.
- Perform structural and thermal FEA analysis to ensure system reliability under extreme conditions.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) in SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electrical and software engineering teams for seamless system integration.
- Manage the prototyping phase, including rapid prototyping, CNC machining coordination, and vendor selection.
- Implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) best practices to optimize production costs and timelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous design reviews to maintain quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design for complex electromechanical systems.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM/PLM systems.
- Proven track record of performing FEA and kinematic simulation.
- Solid understanding of material science, tolerances, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience with robotic actuators, high-precision gearboxes, and motion control hardware.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action and attention to detail.
