Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation through production implementation
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and Creo
- Perform FEA/CAE simulations for structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to build and validate functional prototypes
- Design and optimize mechanical assemblies for manufacturability and cost efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement in product performance through DFX methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus simulation tools
- Proven track record of launching automotive or industrial products
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA
- Experience with additive manufacturing and hybrid production processes
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Excellent problem-solving skills and system thinking approach
