We are seeking a visionary Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of next-generation automated assembly systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex conceptual design and robust field implementation, working in a fast-paced environment where innovation is the standard.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of precision engineering and mechatronics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full-cycle mechanical design of complex robotic subsystems and automated machinery.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing-ready drawings.
- Conduct rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and oversee physical testing to validate performance benchmarks.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and review design documentation for quality assurance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material costs and manufacturing lead times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in high-precision mechanical design or industrial robotics.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM/PLM systems.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection (metals and polymers).
- Proven success in designing for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical failure modes.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for agile, collaborative team environments.
