Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems for automated assembly lines.
- Perform structural and thermal FEA analysis to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate system components.
- Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Manage the full product development lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and review design documentation.
- Select and qualify materials and vendors for critical high-precision components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or automation.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software packages.
- Strong background in GD&T and manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
- Proven ability to perform static and dynamic analysis to optimize component weight and strength.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems and engineering change order (ECO) processes.
