Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of advanced mechanical systems for aerospace applications
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations using ANSYS/Simulink
- Develop detailed CAD models and engineering drawings with SolidWorks/CATIA
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize for production feasibility
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA Part 25 certification requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research and implement innovative materials for weight reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years experience in aerospace or high-reliability mechanical design
- Expertise in FEA, thermal analysis, and composite material applications
- Proficiency with SolidWorks/CATIA and ANSYS Suite
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles
- FAA certification or aerospace industry compliance experience
- Proven project leadership with complex system integration
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
