Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production release using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate design integrity
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation including GD&T drawings and BOMs
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test new mechanisms under extreme conditions
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, and performance enhancement
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and simulation software
- Proven track record in complex mechanical system design for high-volume production
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC)
- Experience with design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and APQP methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to failure analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
