Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and Creo
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for structural optimization and thermal management
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage project timelines and deliverables within budget constraints
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for complex electromechanical systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and Creo with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Strong knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and thermal analysis principles
- Experience with materials selection, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis
- Proven track record in leading product development from concept to launch
- Strong problem-solving skills with systematic troubleshooting approach
