Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems using SolidWorks and CATIA for aerospace components
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Lead cross-functional teams through product development lifecycle from concept to production
- Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test protocols
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype and validate new materials and manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards
- Mentor junior engineers and optimize design for cost and manufacturability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or automotive sectors
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Strong background in finite element analysis (Ansys, Abaqus) and thermal management
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA methodologies
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing processes
- Certification in AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
