Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process from concept to production, ensuring robust and scalable architectures.
- Utilize industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA) to create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Conduct rigorous finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate product performance under various load conditions.
- Prototype and test mechanical assemblies, analyzing data to iterate designs for optimal efficiency and manufacturability.
- Define and maintain quality standards, ensuring all designs comply with relevant ISO and ASTM safety regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to select high-quality materials and manage vendor specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or AutoCAD) and FEA software.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and precision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder presentations.
