Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle for automotive/aerospace components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations and physical prototyping to validate design integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) on integrated solutions
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
- Research and implement emerging technologies in additive manufacturing and smart materials
- Develop technical documentation and patent disclosures for novel innovations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA with proven portfolio of complex designs
- Strong background in GD&T, DFMEA, and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with automotive/aerospace validation testing protocols (SAE/ISO)
- Knowledge of lightweight materials (composites, alloys) and sustainable manufacturing
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to root cause analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Track record of delivering projects on-time with budget constraints
