Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex mechanical systems and electromechanical assemblies.
- Utilize ANSYS and SolidWorks to conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate product performance under stress.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions adhering to GD&T standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for cost-effective mass production.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and laser cutting.
- Perform rigorous testing and failure analysis to improve product reliability and longevity.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design within the robotics, automation, or medical device industries.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (Advanced level required) and familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, materials science, and manufacturing processes (injection molding, casting, machining).
- Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or ABAQUS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
