Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of complex machinery and electromechanical systems using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions for manufacturing and prototyping.
- Conduct stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and thermal simulations to validate product performance and durability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, firmware developers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration.
- Oversee the creation of functional prototypes and manage the testing and validation process to meet ISO 9001 standards.
- Participate in the design review process, providing technical expertise and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Masterās degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automation, robotics, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting software; strong command of SolidWorks is highly required.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly).
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping technologies (3D printing, CNC machining) and testing methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
