Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design of complex machinery and electromechanical systems using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
  • Develop detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions for manufacturing and prototyping.
  • Conduct stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and thermal simulations to validate product performance and durability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, firmware developers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Oversee the creation of functional prototypes and manage the testing and validation process to meet ISO 9001 standards.
  • Participate in the design review process, providing technical expertise and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automation, robotics, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting software; strong command of SolidWorks is highly required.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly).
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping technologies (3D printing, CNC machining) and testing methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
