Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of vehicle components using CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA)
- Conduct FEA/thermal analysis to optimize performance and durability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, software, manufacturing)
- Develop and test prototypes in rapid iteration cycles
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or aerospace product development
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, and design for manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with material selection and rapid prototyping
- Proven track record of bringing complex systems from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable
