Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using CAD/CAM tools
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing specifications and tolerance analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing)
- Implement DFM/DFA principles for cost-effective production
- Research and integrate advanced materials and manufacturing techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain immediately
- Experience with DO-160 environmental testing standards
