Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of thermal management systems using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for thermal performance optimization using ANSYS and COMSOL
- Develop DFM/DFA documentation and collaborate with manufacturing partners for prototyping
- Drive design improvements through DOE methodologies and root cause analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for compliance with ISO 26262
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and participate in patent development
- Interface with suppliers to qualify components and optimize supply chain
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software (ANSYS/COMSOL)
- Proven track record in thermal management system design for EV or aerospace applications
- Strong understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes (injection molding, extrusion)
- Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent quality methodology
- Experience with ISO 26262 functional safety standards for automotive applications
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering teams
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex multidisciplinary problems
