Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate structural integrity
- Develop manufacturing processes and assembly procedures for high-volume production
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate electromechanical systems
- Conduct failure mode analysis and implement robust design improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for quality assurance
- Research emerging materials and technologies to enhance product performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for automotive or heavy machinery
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation software
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME standards, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of leading complex product development cycles
- Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping techniques
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
