Responsibilities
- Design and iterate complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and FEA analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics and software into mechanical frameworks.
- Lead DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) initiatives to optimize production efficiency.
- Conduct rigorous physical testing and prototype validation to ensure system reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in CAD data management and version control.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce component weight and material costs.
- Interface with vendors and suppliers to select high-quality materials and mechanical components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine design or robotics.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material properties, and thermal management.
- Proven track record of managing full-cycle product development projects.
- Experience with motion control systems, actuators, and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex mechanical failure modes.
