Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through production release
- Develop and optimize complex aerospace components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics analysis
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement DFM/DFA principles
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing product lines
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and design critiques
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into engineering specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of aerospace/defense experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Workbench suite
- Proven track record of managing complex CAD/CAE projects from concept to production
- Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and tolerance analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Knowledge of DO-160 environmental testing standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability
