Responsibilities
- Lead the full-cycle mechanical design of complex robotic systems and sub-assemblies.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and manufacturing-ready engineering drawings.
- Conduct rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and optimization.
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage rapid prototyping phases, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Define and execute validation testing protocols to meet safety and performance benchmarks.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote internal design best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in mechanical product design, ideally in robotics or automation.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or PTC Creo.
- Strong background in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes (injection molding, casting, machining).
- Proven ability to perform static and dynamic structural simulations.
- Familiarity with motion control systems, actuators, and sensor integration.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on cross-functional technical leadership.
