Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop and optimize product prototypes through rapid prototyping and FEA analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) for integrated solutions
- Validate designs through rigorous testing and documentation (DFMEA, DVP&R)
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and industry-specific standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, DFMA, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive or aerospace industry standards (SAE, AS9100)
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept to production
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical documentation abilities
