Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop and optimize aerospace components through FEA stress/thermal analysis
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test new concepts
- Drive DFM initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and review design documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years in aerospace/defense mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Workbench
- Strong knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience with wind tunnel testing and validation protocols
- Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) required
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
