Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace components using SolidWorks and NX
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation and tolerance specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and testing
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical guidance
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, weight reduction, and cost efficiency
- Stay current with emerging materials and additive manufacturing techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent)
- Strong background in FEA/CFD analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar)
- Demonstrated success with complex system integration and testing
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T standards
- Proven project management skills with on-time delivery track record
- Active PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
