Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of automated manufacturing systems using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/thermal analysis and optimize designs for manufacturability and cost
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with electrical/software teams on mechatronic system integration
- Prototype testing, validation, and continuous design improvement in our state-of-the-art lab
- Mentor junior engineers and implement design best practices across the department
- Interface with suppliers and vendors for component sourcing and cost reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years of industrial design experience
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) with complex assembly management
- Strong background in FEA/thermal analysis using ANSYS or similar platforms
- Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping, material selection, and manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated success in mechatronic system integration and motion control design
- Project management skills with ability to deliver complex projects on schedule
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to stakeholders
